Manchester United’s four-man shortlist to replace Solskjaer

After a summer filled with big-name transfers, Manchester United haven’t performed to expectation. Therefore, in light of a 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future is in doubt.

The club board is considering a new manager and has shortlisted Antonio Conte, Zinedine Zidane, Brendan Rodgers, and Erik ten Hag as potential replacements for Solskjaer.

Zidane is not keen on Manchester United

Despite being available, Zinedine Zidane isn’t keen on becoming Manchester United manager.

Christensen’s contract standoff at Chelsea

Contract talks between Andreas Christensen and Chelsea have stalled.

The 25-year-old defender hasn’t had any contact with the club board about a contract extension in two months. His current deal will expire at the end of the season. Therefore, unless he pens an extension, he can begin talks with foreign clubs over a free summer transfer in January.

It’s alleged that Chelsea have offered Christensen a four-year contract, but the Dane is unhappy with the proposed salary. [Goal]
