Man United enter the race for €55m-rated Bundesliga star
At the request of interim manager Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United have added Christopher Nkunku to their list of summer transfer targets.
The Red Devils have made strengthening their midfield a priority. They hadn’t previously considered Nkunku, but Rangnick – who used to coach the Frenchman’s club RB Leipzig – has changed their minds.
Nkunku has supplied 19 goals and 13 assists in 31 appearances for Leipzig this season. The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has a market value worth €55 million. Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal have all expressed an interest. [ESPN]
Rudiger lifts the lid on his Chelsea future
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has said the club will decide whether he stays or goes at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old German’s contract at Stamford Bridge ends in the summer. He reportedly wants a salary worth £225,000-a-week as part of any new deal to continue at Chelsea. Talks between the player and club resumed in late December.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have both sent offers to Rudiger, who also interests Manchester United. [Athletic]

Hakimi explains why he didn’t re-join Real Madrid
Achraf Hakimi has confirmed Real Madrid had an option to re-sign him from Inter Milan last summer.
The Moroccan right-back, however, claims the club refused, adding: “They didn’t take a chance on me as much as other clubs.” He joined Paris Saint-Germain instead in a €66.5 million deal.
