Arsenal edge closer to two deals

The Gunners are working on transfer deals for Anderlecht midfielder Sambi Lokonga and Brighton defender Ben White.

Lokonga, a Thierry Henry-recommended player, has agreed on personal terms. He is the most advanced of the two ‘big-money deals’ the Londoners are chasing. The 21-year-old’s club, Anderlecht, have already rejected a £13million offer but Arsenal plan to invoke add-ons to sweeten the deal.

Brighton, meanwhile, have already rejected a £40million offer for White. The defender, though, is keen on joining Arsenal, who remain confident of signing him this summer [Football Insider]

Manchester United edge closer to Torres signing

The Red Devils have made progress in their attempt to sign Pau Torres from Villarreal.

Head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made signing a new central defender a top priority. Therefore, Manchester United have pulled out all the stops to find one and are growing more confident of a deal for Torres.

Rudiger makes a decision on Chelsea future

Despite having just a year left on his Chelsea contract, Antonio Rudiger has no plans to leave.

The German defender has reportedly told Blues boss Thomas Tuchel he plans to stay. While Chelsea are yet to begin talks over a new contract, Rudiger is hopeful of a new long-term agreement.

But even if the European champions don’t make an offer, the 28-year-old would still stay for the final 12 months of his current deal. [Sky Sports]

Juventus plot Locatelli talks

The Bianconeri plan to respond to rival interest from Premier League clubs by beginning transfer talks with Sassuolo for Manuel Locatelli.

Guendouzi edges closer to Arsenal exit

Benfica reportedly have their eyes set on a transfer bid for Matteo Guendouzi.

The 22-year-old is set to leave Arsenal on a permanent basis this summer after spending last season on loan at Hertha BSC. Reports have linked him with a return to France with Marseille.
