Atletico Madrid star Kieran Trippier has remained coy on transfer rumors linking him with a return to the Premier League.

Kieran Trippier has insisted his sole focus lies on giving his all for England in this summer’s European Championship.

Reports have linked Trippier with a return to the Premier League recently. Manchester United, for one, have allegedly shortlisted the Bury-born defender as a summer target. No progress has been made, though. It’s understood Atletico Madrid won’t consider any offers less than €20 million.

The Spanish giants signed Trippier in 2019 from Tottenham and his performances helped them win a first La Liga title since 2014 last season.

“I’ve just enjoyed the season [at Atletico] and we’ve won the title,” Trippier told The Guardian.

“I’m away with England, we’re playing Denmark and I’m not focusing on my club or what is going on.

“I’m just focused on England and doing as best as I can if I play. If I don’t play, I still give 100 percent.”

The former Spurs man added: “It’s been an unbelievable season, and it motivates me to win more, even at my age.

“Coming away with England, it gives me real confidence and maybe I can share that experience with others who have not won things.

“Then again, we have players who are winning trophies with their clubs now and they all have that winning mentality.”

Trippier, who has made three appearances in Euro 2020 so far, is preparing for Wednesday’s semi-final between England and Denmark at Wembley.
