Adama Traore will no longer meet up with the Spain squad as per safety protocols after reportedly testing positive for coronavirus.

Every member of Luis Enrique’s team went through COVID-19 testing before starting preparations at their training camp at Las Rozas, Madrid ahead of the Nations League matches against Germany and Ukraine.

Unfortunately, according to Marca, Adama Traore was found affected by the virus.

Traore, as a result, will now be forced to withdraw from the Spain squad so as to comply with UEFA’s strict safety protocol. He will soon enter a period of self-isolation for 14 days.

The 24-year old winger was selected in the national team after impressing with Wolves last season. He emerged as one of the breakthrough players in the Premier League, racking up four goals and nine assists.

The latest withdrawal will serve as a huge disappointment for the former FC Barcelona man, who also received a call-up for Spain last November only to later pick up an injury and fail to make his senior debut.

Traore, however, will take another test on Tuesday. And should it return negative, he will be allowed to travel to Spain.

Spain have now lost two players due to the virus as Mikel Oyarzabal was also tested positive previously.
