Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a move for in-demand Sporting Braga striker Paulinho.

ose Mourinho is hell-bent on strengthening his attacking department this transfer window. Paulinho, as such, could become a real target.

Mourinho was desperate to find a back-up option for Harry Kane last January. Unfortunately, his efforts to recruit a striker fell flat at the time.

A busted pursuit of a new central forward proved to be costly during the second half of the 2019/20 season. Indeed, Tottenham could only manage a sixth-place finish last term.

Determined not to repeat the same mistake, the Portuguese is on the lookout for a new striker.

According to the Sports Mole, the Braga talisman Paulinho has ended up at the top of Tottenham’s shopping list.

The 27-year-old Portuguese goal-machine racked up 25 goals and nine assists in 48 outings last season.

It’s, therefore, not strange that Paulinho has attracted interest from Tottenham.

Spurs also remain keen on Watford’s Troy Deeney. Seen as an ideal signing by Mourinho, the 32-year-old would be available for peanuts, given Watford’s relegation.

Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik was among the potential candidates to take place alongside Kane in the final third. But, the Pole’s asking price has already put Tottenham off.
