The Italian boss slammed Tottenham players for their recent displays.

Tottenham are reportedly having “internal discussions” over Antonio Conte’s future after his recent comments.

The Italian boss is under contract at Tottenham until the next summer. However, he could part ways with the Spurs before then due to his broken relationship with the club.

Speaking in a press conference after his side’s 3-3 draw with Southampton, Conte hit out at “selfish” Tottenham players.

“We are not a team,” Conte said“We are eleven players that go into the pitch. I see selfish players, players that don’t want to help each other and don’t put their heart.

“Until now I try to hide the situation but now, not anymore. Here’s always the same, every season. The club has the responsibility for the transfer market, the coach has responsibility. But the players, where are the players?”

The comments have forced Tottenham to consider sacking Conte before his contract expiration.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there are serious discussions over Conte’s future at the club. The Sky Sports journalist claims Daniel Levy will have the final say in a possible decision to sack the Italian coach.

The Spurs will face Everton in their first match after the international break on April 3.
