Barcelona top the list amid their ongoing financial issues after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Financial advisory team Deloitte have announced their yearly report of clubs with the most debt.
According to their analysis, Barcelona have the most debt among all of the clubs in European football.
A staggering amount of €1.35B in debt is primarily due to mismanagement and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Juventus, Tottenham, Inter, and AC Milan are following Barcelona, while Real Madrid stands sixth on the list.
According to Deloitte, four European clubs are debt-free at the moment. Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Leicester City are the only clubs with zero debt in the new report.
This means the new Chelsea owners, who took over the club earlier this week, won’t need to pay back any debt at the start of their ownership.
