Alexandre Lacazette is attracting interest from a host of European sides and Arsenal must now make a decision on the Frenchman’s future.
Three foreign clubs have been named to be interested in the signature of Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The Frenchman is out of contract at the club in the summer of 2022 and no decision has been made on his future yet.
As per ESPN journalist Julien Laurens, the trio of Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and AS Roma are in the race to sign Lacazette this summer.
For Atletico Madrid, it won’t be the first time they are linked with the Arsenal man. The Spanish giants reportedly had a deal agreed to sign the Frenchman in the summer of 2017. However, a transfer ban at the time meant the club could see no incomings and the forward joined Arsenal instead.
With Diego Costa leaving the club in December 2020 and the future of Luis Suarez still uncertain, Atletico could once again turn their attentions to Lacazette.
However, the report details that the 29-year-old is a strong figure in the Gunners dressing room and there is a strong indication he could be offered a new deal. At the moment though, contract talks are yet to be initiated.
The report adds that Arteta also rates Lacazette highly and would be keen to see the club offer him a new deal as well.
The Frenchman has been in fairly impressive form for the Gunners this term, scoring 13 goals across all competitions.
Arsenal selling Lacazette might be something to frown on, given his current form at the moment. However, the Frenchman could be the player with most value to sell if the Gunners hope to raise transfer funds via departures this summer.
