The Arsenal legend has thrown his support behind the ongoing protests from fans against the club’s owner.

Thierry Henry was ‘happy’ to see the Arsenal fans stand up to club owner Stan Kroenke following last week’s events.

Kroenke’s decision to sign Arsenal up as a founding member of the European Super League sparked outrage amongst the Gunners faithful.

After years of discontentment over the American billionaire’s running of the club, this was the final straw.

The supporters, therefore, held a protest against Kroenke outside the Emirates on Friday before the club’s 1-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League.

“Arsenal fans have spoken, they are not happy and I’m with them,” Henry told talkSPORT.

“I’m a fan, too, and I’m happy with the protests. I couldn’t go, because you can imagine, but I was happy about them.

“It’s the fans’ club, fans will always decide the future of the club, and if fans want things to happen it’s on you, and they were not happy about what’s happening and rightly so.

“At some point enough is enough. You sit there and support the club. But then they did what they did with the Super League without consulting anybody, and I was like, ‘wow’.”

Henry is reportedly one of three Arsenal legends involved in Daniel Ek’s takeover bid in north London.
