Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was quizzed on whether he would sit in the Tottenham dugout at some point in his managerial career.
Thierry Henry has unsurprisingly ruled out the prospect of him becoming a Tottenham manager with a pretty emphatic answer.
Speaking at the Prime Video Presents Sport 2021 event, Henry spoke about Arsenal’s recent results and was questioned on whether he would ever consider taking charge of the club’s local rivals.
“That would never happen in a million years,” replied Henry as per Football London.
The Frenchman, who works as an assistant to Belgium manager Roberto Martinez, also expressed disappointment with how Arsenal ‘suffered’ in their 0-0 draw away to Brighton last time out.
The draw ended a four-match winning run across all competitions, which included a fine 3-1 victory over Spurs at the Emirates.
“I’ve seen us beating Norwich before, winning at Burnley, beating Tottenham at home – because we always beat Tottenham at home,” Henry said.
“I was more than happy when we beat Tottenham as we were on a good run. But I was waiting to see a performance, away from home, against a team [Brighton] that passes the ball. And, instead, we suffered.”
Arsenal return to action on Monday for a Premier League match against the Patrick Viera-led Crystal Palace at the Emirates.
