The world of football is at a standstill with the sad news of Diego Maradona’s death. The Argentina legend and icon passed away at the age of 60 due to a heart attack at his home in Argentina. Considered to be one of the greatest to have ever played the sport, he helped Argentina to lift the World Cup in 1986. Moreover, Maradona also had the privilege of two successful Serie A titles and the UEFA Cup of Nations.
In addition to the major titles mentioned above, Diego also won the Argentine Primera Division with Boca Juniors in 1981. Maradona then went on to win the Copa del Rey with Barcelona during his two-year spell at the Catalunya capital. Initially, reports mentioned that he was hospitalized after a cardiac arrest. But moments later, there was a confirmation regarding his death. And this news spread like a wildfire across the globe, as football stars contributed their homages to the legend.
