Beckham, Shearer, Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, and more stars made the cut for the greatest English players in Premier League history.
Despite recently being voted as the most overrated player, Steven Gerrard has been named the Premier League’s best English player of all time.
The former Liverpool captain, who never won the league title in his career, finished ahead of the league’s record scorer Alan Shearer and 11-time winner Paul Scholes in a list compiled by 90min.
According to the publication, Gerrard ‘could do just about everything’.
While the man who succeeded Gerrard as Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, is ranked in 23rd-place. Harry Kane (Tottenham), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), and Jamie Vardy (Leicester) are the other three active footballers to make the list.
