Barcelona’s top six targets for 2022 revealed

The Catalan giants have three strikers and three defenders listed on their transfer wishlist.

Manchester City forward Ferran Torres, Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani, and Borussia Dortmund’s goal machine Erling Haaland are the three attackers Barcelona have in mind.

As for the defense, Barca appear set to raid Chelsea. Xavi’s side have eyes on Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen, who are both out of contract in 2022. They also like Antonio Rudiger, but the German’s wage demands make him an unlikely signing. [Marca]

Manchester City won’t sell Ake in January

Pep Guardiola’s side won’t entertain any offers for defender Nathan Ake in the January transfer window.

Morata unlikely to stay at Juventus

Alvaro Morata is set to return to Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.

As things stand, Juventus are unlikely to take up the €35 million buy option they have inserted into Morata’s two-year loan deal.

Cadiz set to take over De Jong loan deal from Barcelona

Cadiz, Barcelona, and Sevilla have all reached an agreement for Luuk de Jong to head to southern Spain.

Barcelona want to cut De Jong’s season-long loan spell short by returning him to Sevilla. The problem is the Dutchman’s parent club don’t want him back. However, the two sides have managed to convince Cadiz to take over the striker’s loan deal for the rest of the season.

Mbappe’s transfer decision set to be delayed

Kylian Mbappe will wait until Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid’s Champions League two-legged last-16 tie ends on March 9 before deciding his future.

The 23-year-old striker’s contract in France expires at the end of the season. He can sign a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid, or any foreign club, from January onwards. [AS]

Vlahovic’s staggering wage demands revealed

The in-demand Fiorentina striker is reportedly requesting weekly wages of £200,000 after tax.

Any clubs interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic, therefore, would have to pay around £350,000 per week to cover his salary.
