Abraham’s move to Roma imminent

After falling out of favor at Chelsea, Tammy Abraham has agreed to join AS Roma in a €40 million transfer deal.

The 23-year-old striker harbored hope of joining Arsenal, a club he supported as a child. But the Gunners made no offer, leaving Roma free to make their move. The Giallorossi will pay him €6 million-a-year net in salary, a figure which surpasses what he currently makes at Chelsea.

Roma will pay for Abraham’s transfer fee in installments and Chelsea have included an €80 million buy-back clause, which will become active after the Englishman’s second season in Serie A. [The Athletic]

Dzeko completes move to Inter Milan

Edin Dzeko has joined Inter Milan from AS Roma on a free transfer.

The Serie A champions, who will pay Roma €1.5 million next summer if they qualify for the Champions League this season, have signed Dzeko up on a contract until June 2023.

Diego Costa closes in on Atletico Mineiro move

Eight months after his sudden departure from Atletico Madrid, Diego Costa appears to have found a new club.

The 32-year-old striker is on the verge of completing a free transfer to Atletico Mineiro. He will be in Brazil on Sunday to undergo his medical and to sign a contract with the club until December 2022. [Fabrizio Romano]

Nainggolan returns to Belgium

Radja Nainggolan has ended a 17-year stay in Italy in favor of a return to Belgium.

The former Inter Milan and Roma midfielder has completed a free transfer to Royal Antwerp. He has signed a contract with the Belgian club until June 2023.

Arsenal exit for Torreira depends on Lazio sale

After posting a picture of himself at the Warner Bros theme park in Madrid on Friday while Arsenal lost to Brentford, Lucas Torreira isn’t a popular man amongst the Gunners faithful.

Lazio are interested in signing the Uruguayan midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid. The Serie A side, however, must sell Gonzalo Escalante to Marseille first. A €6.8 million transfer agreement is in the pipeline between the two clubs. Once that is done, Lazio can make a move for Torreira. [Corriere dello Sport – in Italian]

Dumfries swaps PSV for Inter Milan

The Nerazzurri scored a double transfer swoop on Saturday by welcoming Edin Dzeko and Denzel Dumfries.

Dumfries, who impressed for the Netherlands at Euro 2020, has joined Inter in a €15 million deal from PSV Eindhoven. The 25-year-old right-back has signed a contract until June 2025.
