Ramos interested in Manchester United transfer

Contract talks between Real Madrid and Sergio Ramos have allegedly collapsed. Hence, the 34-year-old is prepared to leave the Spanish capital but is not keen on a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain or outside Europe.

His brother and agent, Rene Ramos, is focused on securing a pre-contract agreement with an English club. Manchester City and Liverpool are outside bets at best. Therefore, Ramos has reportedly billed Manchester United as his ‘first choice destination’. [Mirror]

Rose’s move to Turkey under threat

Danny Rose hasn’t featured at all for Tottenham since returning on loan from Newcastle. The 30-year-old, who has instead made two appearances for the U-23 squad this season, hopes to end his torrid spell soon.

But just as an agreement had been on the verge of completion for a January transfer to Trabzonspor, the Turkish side have now conceded a move would be ‘very difficult’ because of COVID-19 restrictions. [talkSPORT]

Dembele wants Barcelona renewal

Despite the persistent rumors linking him with an exit, Ousmane Dembele wants a contract extension at Barcelona. He has 18 months left on his existing deal. Any chance of a renewal will have to wait until a new club president is elected on March 7, though. [Sport]

Reports have linked Dembele with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus recently.

Perisic rejects Dortmund return and Hertha Berlin offer

Ivan Perisic has proved useful for Antonio Conte upon returning from a season on loan at Bayern Munich. The Inter Milan coach has made great use of Perisic’s versatility to deploy him in several roles. However, the Croatian’s future at the San Siro appears to still be in doubt.

The former Wolfsburg winger has already rejected another return to the Bundesliga by turning down offers from Borussia Dortmund and Hertha BSC. He apparently will only leave Inter for an English or Spanish club. [Sport 1]

Liverpool turn to Arsenal outcast Mustafi

Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez’s injuries, along with Joel Matip’s recurring fitness issues, have left Jurgen Klopp short of defensive cover. Therefore, the Reds boss has begun a search of a new center-back in January.

Several names have been linked, but nothing has happened. The latest one to enter Klopp’s shortlist is none other than Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi, who has made just three Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season. [Evening Standard]
