Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti has said that he will do anything to keep the Senegal international Kalidou Koulibaly at the club.

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti does not wish to say goodbye to Kalidou Koulibaly who has been linked to Manchester United.

In fact, the new head coach will go to any height to keep the defender in his squad. Why not? The 30-year-old centre-back has soared to the elite group of defenders in the world since joining Napoli from Genk in 2014.

Koulibaly has been on the hit list of several potential suitors because of his performances over the years. And reportedly, United are planning to launch a bid for the big man. But Spalletti is concrete on his decision to not let his defender slip away.

Having replaced Gennaro Gattuso at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in May, Spalletti will go to extreme measures to keep Koulibaly in the club this summer.

“To keep him I will chain myself somewhere,” Spalletti told a press conference. “Find me something and I’ll chain myself there.”

The Senegal international has been priced for over €80 million in the past, however, United want to snatch him for a €30 million deal.
