Manchester United’s failure to collect any point in the last game was deserved based on their poor performance, suggests Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United were handed a blow right at the beginning of their 2020/21 Premier League campaign as they were humiliated by Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils endured a 3-1 defeat, with summer signing Donny van de Beek coming on to save some blushes by scoring his new side’s only goal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will be looking for their first win of the new season when they travel to Luton for the Carabao Cup clash.

It is expected that a few changes will be made in the line-up by the manager, with Dean Henderson most likely to replace David de Gea in goal.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Nemanja Matic, and Fred, all of whom were absent in the previous match, could also possibly be seen on the starting XI in Tuesday night’s match.

“I don’t think it was a good watch,” Solskjaer said of the Crystal Palace game in his pre-match press conference.

“I didn’t like it then and, as I said, we didn’t come out of the traps quickly enough and they did. They looked sharper than us, fitter than us and they deserved the points.

“We didn’t do enough to earn the right and you have got to earn the right in a Premier League match.”
