Sevilla take on Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 knockout tie on Wednesday evening.

The two clubs have not met since the group stage of the Europa League in the 2009-10 season. Both sides are still looking to establish themselves at Europe’s top table.

Based on current form, all things point to a win for Sevilla tonight.

Julen Lopetegui’s side are unbeaten in their last nine games across all competitions, winning all of them in the process. Those wins include a 2-0 victory over Barcelona in the Copa del Rey.

On the other hand, Dortmund have just two wins from their last seven fixtures. At the weekend, a late goal from Haaland spared his side some blushes with a 2-2 draw against Hoffenheim.

Form goes out of the way in fixtures like this, but Sevilla are clear favorites to win for sure.

Sevilla’s last match was a 1-0 home win against Huesca. Lopetegui rested some of his stars but they were still too good. El Haddadi scored the winner in the second half.
