After the break, Leo Messi had a few attempts against Sevilla but Bounou denied him every single time. The Argentine wasn’t able to change his side’s fate this evening and something added even more insult to injury. Ivan Rakitic scored a second goal for Sevilla against his former club.
The Croatian midfielder didn’t celebrate because he knows Barcelona could be eliminated from the competition. Even though this semifinal will have a second match, no away goals can hurt the Catalan club for the return leg. We will enjoy that game at the end of the month at Camp Nou Stadium.
