Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium opened its doors for the Sevilla vs Real Madrid match in the Spanish La Liga. We have the player ratings.

Real Madrid had a dangerous visit to Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium. Zinedine Zidane’s job was on the line after last week’s painful defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. This visit to Julen Lopetegui’s Sevilla side seemed like a game Los Blancos could lose. But the players and ‘Zizou’ have a unique connection that allows them to always keep fighting despite any adversity.

Today was a great opportunity to get back in the focus to fight for titles and they didn’t disappoint. From the first minute of the game, Los Blancos already showed they were willing to put in the work for a positive result. They controlled the game throughout the 90 minutes and had some important opportunities in the front.

However, this Real Madrid side is still quite erratic in front of the goalkeeper. It’s pretty evident they don’t have the firepower to win any titles this season unless they have all their offensive players on point. Vinicius had a clear chance he completely blew that goes directly in line with what he’s been showing us since he started his career in Real Madrid.

Vinicius seals the victory for Real Madrid.

But during the second half, Vinicius had his chance to redeem himself after his failed first half. He responded to Zidane’s trust by scoring the winning goal after a clinical cross delivered by Benjamin Mendy. Although his goal wasn’t as clean as we expected, Vinicius still delivered on what Zidane needed.

Far from a luxurious squad, this Real Madrid group of players simply does the job they need when the situation is more extreme. With this victory, Los Blancos reach 20 points and move to third place in the table. Sevilla lags behind with 16 units.
