Aguero tops Pochettino’s wishlist for PSG

Sergio Aguero is out of contract at Manchester City in the summer. The Argentine is yet to make any announcements on his future plans and can now enter talks with other clubs regarding a free transfer.

Aguero’s possible availability has naturally stirred interest amongst a host of clubs. One of them is said to be Paris Saint-Germain. The club’s new manager Mauricio Pochettino is allegedly keeping tabs on the 32-year-old’s situation. [Mirror]

Ozil’s Arsenal exit suffers a setback

The Mesut Ozil saga receives yet another twist. The German is in talks over a loan move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, but Arsenal don’t want to pay any of his £350,000-a-week salary if the transfer happens.

Fenerbahce are trying to find a solution to this setback. It’s unclear if they’ll be able to cover such wages in these difficult times. And while Ozil favors a move to Turkey, MLS club DC United remain an alternative option for him. [Guardian]

Real Madrid’s Militao to join Tottenham?

Reports have linked Jose Mourinho with a surprise move for Sergio Ramos recently. It appears, however, the former Real Madrid boss has another center-back in mind from the Spanish capital in Eder Militao.

The 22-year-old Brazilian, who joined Real Madrid from FC Porto in July 2019 for €50m, has made just three appearances in all competitions this season. In fact, he’s been left on the bench in each of the club’s last eight LaLiga games. [Mundo Deportivo – in Spanish]

PSV target Alderweireld

Doubts over Toby Alderweireld’s future have resurfaced. The 31-year-old, who signed a new contract at Tottenham in December 2019 until 2023, has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for PSV Eindhoven.

Trippier suffers setback in Man United transfer

Kieran Trippier’s year goes from bad to worse. The 30-year-old has to serve a 10-week ban from all football-related activity for breaching betting rules, which has apparently scuppered his transfer plans.

The Atletico Madrid full-back hoped to make a January move to Manchester United only for the FA’s ban to end the move altogether. [talkSPORT].

Nketiah tops West Ham’s shortlist for new attackers

West Ham boss David Moyes is keen to strengthen his attacking options. The Hammers have been in impressive form this season, but only 24 goals is the worst offensive record among the top-10 Premier League clubs alongside Manchester City. The only difference is City have been much stronger in defense.

Sebastien Haller’s €22.5m transfer to Ajax in January has made signing a new center-forward a must for Moyes. Therefore, Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah has emerged as a potential target. Bournemouth’s Joshua King and Stade Reims’ Boulaye Dia are also of interest. [London Evening Standard]
