Ibrahima Konate is on the verge of completing a summer transfer to Liverpool.

Despite being unable to offer Lionel Messi a similar salary to the one he currently enjoys, Joan Laporta has a plan.

The Barcelona president accepts offering Messi around €75 million per year is not possible. Thus, he hopes to entice the Argentine into a long-term deal that will compensate him over several years to make up for the wage cut.
