The Germany international was named the Man of the Match in what was an absolutely dominant displayΒ by his side on Wednesday night.

Leroy Sane has been backed to “cause even more of a stir at Bayern” by manager Julian Nagelsmann after he produced a fine performance against Dynamo Kyiv.

Sane played a pivotal role in his side’s success last night, scoring a goal and setting another up as Bayern Munich brushed their Ukrainian opponents aside 5-0.

The winger took his goals and assists tally this season to four and seven respectively in just 10 appearances across all competitions.

After struggling initially to deliver up to the expectations at the club, the former Manchester City man appears to have finally found his feet.

“It’s good to let him do what he wants. With every person, with every footballer, it’s important that you’re mentally clear so that you can perform,” the Bayern website quotes Naglesmann.

“He won the ball back after losing it. He’s an outstanding player, with good character. He showed that again today. And if he continues like this, he will probably cause even more of a stir at Bayern.”

Sane said: “I always work hard on myself. I know there’s a lot of pressure. I try to concentrate on the pitch, stay calm and perform.

“That’s been working very, very well in the last few weeks. I’m trying to keep that up.”
