The Egypt star was on target again to help the Reds seal a comeback win over Newcastle and move up to second in the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah has equaled Jamie Vardy’s all-time record of goal involvements across consecutive Premier League games.
The forward did so by scoring Liverpool’s second goal in a 3-1 win over Newcastle on Thursday, taking his tally to 15 league goals and sending the club up to second place in the standings.
It was also the 15th game in a row that Salah had recorded either a goal or assist for Liverpool, a feat matched only by Vardy.
The Leicester City star set a record run of scoring or assisting in 15 consecutive Premier League games until December 2015.

Next up is Shearer’s record
Aside from matching Vardy, Salah also became the first player to score in five successive league games against Newcastle at Anfield.
The 29-year-old has now made 24 Premier League goal involvements this season (15 goals, 9 assists). Only Alan Shearer has done better, having registered 25 goal involvements (16 goals, 9 assists) before Christmas in the 1994/95 campaign for Blackburn Rovers.
If the Premier League doesn’t postpone Liverpool’s visit to Tottenham on Sunday due to COVID-19, Salah will have the chance to equal or break Shearer’s record.
Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold were also on target for Jurgen Klopp’s side on Thursday after Jonjo Shelvey handed Newcastle a surprise seventh-minute lead.
