According to rumors coming from England, Marcus Rashford is currently wanted by one of Spanish football’s La Liga giants for next season.
As far as La Liga giants go, one of them is reportedly trying to sign Marcus Rashford next summer. The Manchester United forward is currently amongst the top English players in the world, maybe even the best out of so many. At the moment, the Red Devil is 23 years of age and his value is destined to increase tenfold according to his massive improvement over the last year. For giant clubs such as FC Barcelona or Real Madrid, signing a player with this level of skill is almost a luxury. According to the Daily Mirror, the Blaugrana are keen on trying to land his transfer as soon as the new president is sworn in.
The Catalan club is currently going through an election process that will determine the future of the institution. A lot of it is directly linked to the president they get. If Joan Laporta wins this election, his relationship with many clubs will be key to signing players at Marcus Rashford’s level. But Barcelona will have some interesting competition for the player during the summer transfer window.
Juventus might also come after Rashford.
The report also suggests that Juventus is also interested in signing Marcus Rashford and using him next to Cristiano Ronaldo. Due to their recent lack of dominance in the Champions League. Signing a player like him could certainly elevate their level of performance. Even though his value on Transfermarkt seems low at the moment (€80 million), it will remain on a steady increase over the next few years.
There are very few English players who can be compared to Rashford and all the major clubs are aware of his value. Should an offer come knocking on Manchester United’s door, it must be well above €150 million. But the player himself doesn’t seem willing to leave his childhood club any time soon. Convincing him to sign for a different institution is the real challenge for any club that wants him.
