A draw with Chelsea lifted Tottenham back on top of the Premier League, but can they hold on until May? Apparently not…

Roy Keane doesn’t think Jose Mourinho and Harry Kane alone are enough to steer Tottenham to Premier League glory this season.

A goalless stalemate away to Chelsea on Sunday ensured Spurs reclaimed top spot in the league standings from Liverpool, who drew 1-1 with Brighton a day earlier, and a two-point edge over the Blues.

The performance at Stamford Bridge wasn’t their finest, having failed to score in the league for the first time since their season-opener against Everton and losing their 100% record away from home in the process.

A point was enough to get the job done, however, sparking more hope of a first league title since 1961.

But can Mourinho keep the momentum going until the end of the season? He’s won the Premier League three times with Chelsea in the past, although Keane isn’t convinced.

The former Manchester United skipper told Sky Sports: “He’s done it before. His CV is fantastic.

“But I don’t think these players he has at Spurs are good enough to win the title. They have the X-factor in Mourinho and Harry Kane, I don’t think that’s enough. They were hanging on at the end at Stamford Bridge.

“I think they are on for a very good season, but a very good season is a big difference to trying to win the league title. I don’t think so. Manchester City are stronger than Spurs.”

Keane added: “Spurs have had some really good results, but they have still had the odd blip here and there, against Newcastle and West Ham.

“Jose Mourinho said his players were disappointed in the dressing room, I think they should be delighted. Mourinho will be delighted.”
