The one point was enough for Spurs to regain their lead atop the table after the North West London derby ended in a goalless stalemate.

Perhaps the happiest manager with the result of Sunday night’s encounter between Tottenham and Chelsea is Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool knocked Tottenham off the Premier League top spot after snatching a point from the Brighton game away from home on Saturday.

Spurs, after the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, have now retaken the lead, but both sides are level on 21 points and a goal difference is what separates the two.

Chelsea dominated the match as they had more possession of the ball, created more chances, took a whopping 13 shots to the opponents’ mere 5. But they lacked severely in the one area which matters the most – converting chances.

Olivier Giroud could’ve won the game for his side late as the ball landed straight to him following a wayward pass by Joe Rondon, but the world-cup winner’s tame effort hardly troubled Hugo Lloris.

Spurs also had their fair share of chances and missed them all. Giovani Lo Celso wasted a potentially great chance in the closing minutes as he chose to take a shot, that went wide of the far post, instead of passing the ball to runners Harry Kane or Lucas Moura.
