Former Manchester United colleague Dimitar Berbatov pointed out a major issue that will occur due to the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Cristiano Ronaldo’s former teammate Dimitar Berbatov, the Portugal international’s comeback at Manchester United will be a “luxury problem” for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Along with Ronaldo, the Red Devils also welcomed Jadon Sancho this summer from Borussia Dortmund. Moreover, Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani as well renewed his contract for one more year. Meaning, Solskjaer will have plenty of alternatives in the attacking half of the field.

In addition to these three, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, and Anthony Martial will also look to fight for featuring for United. This will, in turn, build tremendous pressure on Ole because he will have to work on the rotation of strikers while keeping all of them happy.

“This is a problem; a luxury problem,” Berbatov told Betfair regarding Ronaldo’s arrival at Old Trafford. “When you have Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood, Martial, Cavani and Ronaldo, how do you keep everyone happy here?”

“It is possible, but it’s also near impossible because you’re always going to have someone who is not happy with his playing time, and this is the job of the manager now: how to manage all these connections, playing time and keep everyone happy.”

“Players will need rotating, but I expect Ronaldo to start important games because when the game isn’t going well you need that special someone that can bring that spark and win you the game,” Berbatov explained.

“But let’s not forget Ronaldo is 36 and the Premier League is very fast with a lot of games, so he will be rotated around the team for sure.”
