With yet another goal in Manchester United’s win over Villareal, Cristiano Ronaldo continues dominating the Champions League.

Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo has set a record for English clubs in his favourite Champions League.

It was inevitable, as the Portuguese star salvaged another win for Manchester United on Tuesday night against Villareal.

After an unwanted error from Geronimo Rulli, Ronaldo gracefully chipped the ball over the Villareal goalkeeper.

Following his 78th minute opener, Jadon Sancho sealed the victory as the Red Devils comfortably stepped into the next round of the tournament.

United entered the fixture after a troubled domestic campaign so far, with Soskjaer’s departure and a series of home defeats.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had bagged in all four of their Champions League encounters, including last-ditch winners against Villareal and Atalanta at Old Trafford.

And yet again, the Portuguese striker carried his team to secure their name in the next phase with a crafty finish.

With his sixth goal of the tournament, and the fifth successive one, he now becomes the first player to do so from an English club.
