Tom Brady won the Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Laureus World Sports Awards.
Cristiano Ronaldo has congratulated Tom Brady for his latest honor and labeled the NFL quarterback as ‘the GOAT’.
In a digital ceremony hosted from Seville at the weekend, Brady won the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the 2022 Laureus World Sports Awards following a whirlwind year that saw him win a record seventh Super Bowl title with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The American is the only quarterback to win a Super Bowl in three different decades. In 2021, at 43 years 188 days, he became the Super Bowl’s oldest champion and MVP winner. His career is a fine example of remarkable longevity, in a similar vein to Ronaldo’s in the ‘other football’.
"You are truly an inspiration." ❤️🏈

Ronaldo congratulates Brady
The 37-year-old Manchester United superstar dropped in a video message to congratulate his friend at his award announcement.
“The GOAT,” Ronaldo began in the video message.
“It’s an honor to send you this video because you are truly an inspiration for all of us.
“For your hard work, dedication, and longevity. I think you deserve to win this award, this one and all the awards!
“I wish you all the best, keep going with that motivation – even with your age! Thank you a lot and we’ll keep in touch, thank you my friend.”
Ronaldo famously met Brady in March after scoring a winning hat-trick for Manchester United against Tottenham.
Shortly afterward, Brady announced a shock u-turn on his retirement decision by announcing he would line up for Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a 23rd season – stating he had ‘unfinished business’.
The 44-year-old is the most decorated NFL player of all time and boasts almost all the significant quarterback records.
These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG pic.twitter.com/U0yhRKVKVm
