Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah lead the way as the six nominees for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for September.

The list of six candidates for the September 2021 edition of the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month is out.

Mohamed Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Antonio Rudiger represent the top-four clubs on the list. Ivan Toney is also in the mix for Premier League newbies Brentford, while West Ham star Michail Antonio completes.

Fans will be able to vote for their favorite on 90min from Tuesday 5 October until 11:59 pm (BST) on Sunday.

Below are the six players nominated for the award.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

Three goals in three Premier League games in September marked a solid return home for Ronaldo.

The Portuguese ace bagged a debut brace against Newcastle and scored a winner against West Ham.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Like Ronaldo, Salah also scored three goals in as many games during September.

The Egyptian became only the second African player to score a 100 Premier League goals last month. He currently leads the scoring charts alongside Leicester City star Jamie Vardy.

Ivan Toney (Brentford)

Life in the Premier League has got off to a smooth start for Toney.

The Brentford striker supplied one goal and two assists to help his side beat Wolves 2-0 and hold Liverpool to a 3-3 draw.

Ismaila Sarr (Watford)

Ismaila Sarr isn’t even a striker, yet he was every bit as prolific as Ronaldo and co in September.

The Senegal international scored three goals in as many games for Watford. He scored a brace away to Norwich to seal a 3-1 win before grabbing a crucial equalizer against Newcastle.

Michail Antonio (West Ham)

Antonio is probably the dark horse for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.

The West Ham striker scored one goal in two games in September but got suspended for a crucial home game against Manchester United, which the Hammers lost 2-1.

He made amends, though, by scoring a late winner on his return in a 2-1 win over Leeds.

Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea)

Antonio Rudiger continued his impressive resurgence under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel in September.

The Blues defender helped seal two clean sheets in three games, and he also scored in the 3-0 win over Tottenham. Not bad for one month, right?
