It happened during a Superbowl broadcast, Cristiano Ronaldo got completely snubbed in a GOAT comparison between many legends.

Cristiano Ronaldo keeps getting snubbed in the GOAT debate despite his incredible achievements. He just became the world’s highest goal-scorer in football history over the legendary Pele. The man already won two major titles with the Portugal National Team. He’s won five Ballon d’Or trophies and five Champions League titles. And yet, he still gets snubbed by American news outlets during a Superbowl broadcast.

In an image shared by Movistar, we could see Tom Brady being compared to the likes of Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretsky, and Lionel Messi. The Barcelona star appeared with his four Champions League titles compared to the rest of the names. However, Cristiano Ronaldo was nowhere to be spotted despite winning more of these trophies than Leo did. At this point, the Juventus star must be used to these disrespectful moments but that doesn’t make it any less unfair.

Why does Ronaldo keep getting snubbed?

This is the million-dollar question. Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably one of the two best footballers who ever lived. He surpassed the likes of Diego Maradona and Pele long ago in this comparison, with only Messi matching his achievements. And yet, there’s a clear bias towards Leo that is hard to explain. Perhaps it’s the natural talent Messi has, or their different personalities.

But Cristiano needs to have a secured spot in a table where legendary athletes will reside until the end of time. His name needs to be associated with other legends like the ones we mentioned and others such as LeBron James, Michael Phelps, Roger Federer, Babe Ruth, and the list can go on. This snub from Movistar shouldn’t be of major importance for a player who keeps conquering records every weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo is a GOAT as well, don’t you ever forget it.
