The Portuguese superstar looked to have ended his European career by leaving Manchester United.

Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia believes Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Europe before he retires from football.

A bombshell interview with Piers Morgan ended Ronaldo’s second spell at Man Utd. The 37-year-old then signed a record-breaking deal to continue his career at Al Nassr.

Ronaldo will be 40 years old when his newly-signed contract expires. Most observers believe the Portugal international will retire at the Saudi club. But, according to Garcia, Ronaldo might have more ambitious plans for the future.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition as he helps disperse defenders,” the Al Nassr boss told reporters.

“He’s one of the best players in the world. He won’t finish his career at Al Nassr, he’ll go back to Europe.”

Ronaldo is yet to find his rhythm since joining Garcia’s team. CR7 hasn’t scored his maiden goal for the club in his first two appearances for the Saudi Pro League leaders.

A frustrating defeat against Al Ittihad saw Al Nassr crash out of the Saudi Super Cup last Thursday. Opposition fans relentlessly taunted the five-time Ballon d’Or winner as he made a forgettable debut in the tournament.

Continuing their Saudi Pro League campaign, Al Nassr will take on Al Feteh on Friday.
