Doubts have surfaced over Ronaldo’s future again following a disappointing start to the season at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has dismissed rumors linking the forward with an exit from Manchester United.

Just four months into his second spell at Old Trafford, reports have already claimed Ronaldo could leave in January. There has already been talk of a Real Madrid return. However, the one that caught people’s eyes was one from Mundo Deportivo that said he offered himself to Barcelona.

But the so-called rumor was nothing more than a joke, the equivalent of an April Fool’s Day-style report.

Now Mendes has set the record straight once and for all, insisting Ronaldo is happy and motivated to deliver the goods for Manchester United.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is very happy at Man United,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“He’s going to continue with his solid, great performances as always in his career. It’s going to be a great season for him, I’m sure.”

Ronaldo has managed 14 goals and three assists in 21 appearances across all competitions since rejoining United from Juventus in the summer.

The 36-year-old was on target in the club’s 3-1 win over Burnley on Thursday and will return to action next Monday at home to Wolves in another Premier League match.
