Even though they won the Copa America in 2019, Tite can’t seem to convince Romario from his latest results with the Brazil National Team.

The level of demand Tite has at the Brazil National Team is pretty obvious if you take a look at the South American nation’s history. In terms of football, we are talking about the most successful footballing nation. They have managed to win five World Cup championships throughout their long history. Romario is one of the few people who can offer an opinion about the current situation at the Brazil National Team.

Apparently, he doesn’t like what he is looking at from Tite lately. With the Qatar contest only a year away, the former striker delivered an urgent message to the Brazilian Football Federation. He is convinced that Tite no longer delivers results and they need a fresh face at the seat. But as we speak, they are still at the top of the South American World Cup Qualifiers with an important advantage over Argentina. What Romario doesn’t like is the style of play.

Romario proposes a new manager for Brazil.

During an extended interview with Globo Esporte, Romario revealed he prefers Renato Gaucho to take Tite’s spot. This is the reason behind his decision to no longer support the current manager from his country: “We’re close to a Cup, I don’t know if there’s exactly time for a change of coach, but I’m no longer in favor of Tite as the coach of the Brazilian team.

“Mainly due to the negative results that the team has been getting when it takes equal teams, little better or much better. The team has been showing very bad football. Technically speaking, terrible. And tactically, then, not even said – criticized the senator. We always have to be hopeful, and I always will, we’ll be rooting for Brazil to be champion next year so that we don’t go through this cycle of 24 years without being champion again, but it’s going to be difficult with this team that’s here. With this way of playing, Brazil will be run over. I hope I’m wrong.”
