Ahead of a crucial return from the international break, Rodrygo spoke about getting ready for Liverpool and FC Barcelona soon.
Rodrygo is one of the young Real Madrid players who has to prove himself when they face Liverpool and FC Barcelona. With so many injured players in key positions, there are places that are up for grabs after the international break. Even though he suffered injuries earlier this season, the former Santos player is confident he will have Zinedine Zidane’s trust for these two crucial matches.
Right after coming back from the break, Los Blancos get a visit from Eibar before the storm comes. After that, they play Liverpool and Barcelona at Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium. Then, they will have to travel to England to face the Reds in the Champions League’s return leg. Needless to say, these three matches are pivotal for the squad’s title aspirations and Rodrygo is ready for them.
Rodrygo knows the importance of these games.
As he goes through the international break with no call-up from Brazil, Rodrygo spoke to the club’s official channel: “These matches give us a different feeling, but we want to play well and win,” Rodrygo explained to Real Madrid TV. “Every match is important, although these are a little more important. These matches are the most special.
“Everyone is seeing that we don’t give up. We will fight to the end, no matter how many points we need. We will always fight to the last moment. Zidane asks us to be organized and to press high up the pitch. It’s better to press forward because you’re already close to the goal if we win the ball back. You have to be attentive to the defenders and your full-backs need to always be close to the opponents’ goal.”
