The under-fire Spurs manager’s future has been thrown into further doubt amid alleged frustrations from his own squad.
Jose Mourinho’s training methods have frustrated some key members inside the Tottenham squad, according to a report from The Athletic.
Five defeats in six Premier League games have cast doubt on Mourinho’s future in north London. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly plans to decide whether to continue with the Portuguese coach in May once the current season is over.

This rumor came in wake of Mourinho branding himself and his coaching staff as ‘second to nobody in the world’ after a 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday.
But it appears the Spurs squad may not feel the same way as Mourinho does. Some unnamed players have found the manager’s training methods to be ‘boring and frustrating’, believing them to be too focused on defensive play.
It’s a very different approach, and not as intense either, to what they previously enjoyed under former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, whom Mourinho replaced in November 2019.
