Despite FC Barcelona’s recent claims, there’s a report that confirms Ousmane Dembele wants to play for Manchester United next season.
Ousmane Dembele’s situation at FC Barcelona is not optimistic, he believes he has more chances to play at Manchester United. The French forward has been the targets of numerous injuries that have prevented him from growing as a player. When a player comes to Barcelona, he does it knowing that pressure won’t be the same as it is in other clubs.
Playing for the Catalan giants means a level of commitment that not all footballers are prepared to offer. Ousmane Dembele doesn’t realize how important his position was as a Blaugrana player. He is the man who was supposed to fill the gaping hole left by Neymar and he miserably failed from day one. All this pressure made Dembele understand that the situation might become irreversible at some point.
This is the reason he is starting to change his mind about staying at the club. Ronald Koeman is giving other players more opportunities despite him being fit to perform. The pressure became a secondary problem for him this season. Now he has to worry about staying relevant at a star-studded club that can’t waste time for anybody.
Dembele fancies the Manchester United option.
Given his situation, Ousmane Dembele is finally coming around with the Manchester United alternative. The Red Devils have been trying to sign him on a loan but Barcelona wants him to leave for good. His recent decision to leave might persuade the Catalan club to ease up on their demands to let him leave. A report from Sport suggests that Barça seems willing to let him leave on that loan, but United has to sign an agreement to buy him after one season.
No agreement has been reached so far but things are starting to look a little more optimistic for the player. There are four days remaining on the transfer market window and the clock is ticking. We might get some news about Dembele’s future in the next couple of days. We could also finally get an open space for Barcelona to sign one more player.
