According to a recent report, Neymar might get fully recovered from his ankle injury to face Lille next Sunday.

Neymar’s recent ankle injury seemed far more serious than it actually was. As he fell to the ground with excruciating pain in his ankle, ghosts from the past started coming back to haunt him. He wasn’t sure if the problem was just as serious as the last two times he got a knock there.

Although the scans didn’t show any serious issue, Neymar is set to miss mid-week’s match against Lorient. However, manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed his player might make it in time to play against Lille next Sunday.

The gaffer confirmed it to the press via CBS Sports: “It’s not impossible for him to play. All I can say is that playing is still possible. We will try to get him ready to face Lille. I can’t say yes or no but we have to wait for next Wednesday’s test results. Only then can we give you any further details.”

Neymar dodged a bullet to face Barcelona.

After the draw in which PSG got FC Barcelona in the Round of 16, there was fear with Neymar. The French club was expecting to not have him available for the upcoming match against FC Barcelona but the diagnosis is more positive than expected.

It seems he will be able to train alongside his teammates later this week in order to get ready for Sunday. Having Neymar this season is of extreme importance for PSG in all competitions, especially with his current level of performance.

Regardless of how much criticism he keeps getting for the way he performs, it’s no secret that Neymar is still one of the best players in the world. Last Sunday’s tackle was nothing but a scare and he will get the chance to play against Leo Messi.
