Radja Nainggolan may be announced as a Cagliari player in the next few hours on a dry loan from Inter Milan.

The Belgian midfielder was on loan last season at Cagliari. Now, he’s reportedly making his way back to the Italian side after falling out of flavor at Inter Milan.

Nainggolan impressed Antonio Conte last season as he bagged a total of six goals and seven assists at Cagliari. However, the player failed to grasp a place in the Italian manager’s squad, with only five appearances for the Nerazzurri.

The Isolani’s president claimed a few months ago that the club wouldn’t be able to secure his services again. Despite this, Cagliari decided to look into the transfer market as Marko Rog was ruled out with a knee injury.

As Nainggolan was left out of Conte’s plans for Inter this season, Cagliari decided to act quickly to secure the services of the 32-year-old midfielder. According to Corriere dello Sport, the player has solved the final details with the Nerazzuri. Moreover, the loan-deal will be announced after the Belgian is through with his medical exams at the club.

Radja Nainggolan will stay at Cagliari until June 2021 with no reports of a buy option or loan fee.
