Now that they closed Thiago Alcantara, it appears Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool will attempt to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona on a loan.

Ousmane Dembele is one of the young talents that Jürgen Klopp hand-picked when he was still coaching Borussia Dortmund. The scouting team he had in Germany helped him secure the transfers of several great players but Dembele had something special. Unfortunately, Klopp wasn’t able to enjoy the player’s full capabilities because he left to coach Liverpool.

After they parted ways, the coach went on to make history with the Reds and Ousmane went to Barcelona. It’s safe to say that the French forward hasn’t been as fortunate as his former manager during his time in Catalonia.

Injuries have been the player’s Achilles’ heel since he arrived from Dortmund and he may be overdue for a clean slate. Perhaps reuniting with his former manager can reignite his passion to play football. Maybe he can forget about the Barcelona nightmare.

Klopp wants Dembele on a loan.

Reports from several news outlets in Catalonia such as Sport confirm that the Reds have requested information about the player. We know that Barcelona has been trying to offload him for at least a year but his price tag is simply too great to undertake for any club.

However, Jürgen Klopp seems convinced he can revive Ousmane’s career but he will only take the player on a loan. The Catalan club’s board only wants to get rid of the Frenchman is they sell him. They believe he is still worth over €100 million. This is a ridiculous price for a player who has been mostly injured for the last three seasons.

Barcelona’s board is currently analyzing the best possible response because they definitely want the player out of the team. We will possibly have their answer before the end of the day and they might just accept to let him leave.

Jürgen Klopp has the desire of getting back together with a player he already saw as a possible world-beater and Barcelona might just take the bait.
