According to reports coming from Spain, FC Barcelona proposed Atletico Madrid an ambitious swap deal that is currently under analysis.

Atletico Madrid is currently analyzing a proposed sensational swap deal made by FC Barcelona in the last hours of the transfer window. As we all know, the Catalan club is trying to sign a top player before the deadline but their economic situation is as we all know it. Their main goal this season has always been Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid but the ‘Colchoneros’ have always refused to negotiate for the young Portuguese. In the last hours of the day, Joan Laporta is pushing hard for a proposed swap deal between both clubs.

A few weeks ago, they first attempted to propose a swap deal between Saul and Antoine Griezmann. But president Enrique Cerezo refused to pay extra money on the deal. Diego Simeone loves the idea of the Frenchman back in his squad but he won’t be able to make the final decision. Hence today’s events could mean a massive shift within Spanish football between two of the biggest clubs in the country.

Joao for Griezmann seems extremely difficult.

Even though Barcelona is trying to do everything in their power to make it happen, a swap deal between Felix and Griezmann seems almost impossible. Joan Laporta is trying to find the ideal ways to make Enrique Cerezo to accept. ‘Cholo’ Simeonewants Griezmann at any cost and he does agree to this deal, as per Diario Sport. But the Atletico Madrid board is convinced that Felix isn’t going anywhere.

However, the Barcelona board will keep attempting to sign Joao in the hope of getting a last-minute deal. Both clubs remain talking about the possibility to get Antoine Griezmann back to the ‘Colchoneros’. Barcelona is more willing to make a swap deal than accepting any kind of money for the French forward. The next few hours will be crucial to know what happens between both clubs.
