Los Blancos face disruption in their pre-season preparations yet again as another player has been forced to isolate.
Real Madrid have announced Alvaro Odriozola has returned a positive test for coronavirus.
Odriozola will now play no part in the upcoming friendly against AC Milan, meaning Real Madrid now have no right-back available for the match as Dani Carvajal is still training individually following a hamstring injury.
The Spaniards are not the only two players who will miss the pre-season warm-up fixture on August 8 as Karim Benzema and David Alaba are also out due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
An official statement on the club’s official website read: “Real Madrid C. F. confirm our player Álvaro Odriozola has tested positive for COVID-19.”
Carlo Ancelotti’s men get their 2021-22 campaign underway on August 14 by going against Alaves. Trips to Levante and Real Betis will follow while Los Blancos play host to Celta Vigo for their first home match of the new La Liga season on September 12.
