The French forward, as things stand, is set to bring an end to his succesful PSG stint next summer.
Liverpool would be the “best fit” for Kylian Mbappe if he ultimately decides to leave Paris Saint-Germain, according to Emmanuel Petit.
Mbappe continues to stall putting pen to paper on fresh terms with the Ligue 1 giants.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed immense success throughout his young career so far, with a World Cup winners’ medal and multiple French first-division titles, among other major honors, secured. However, Champions League glory still eludes him.
PSG have put significant work in strengthening their squad in order to boost their chances of continental glory in the coming season and, in consequence, to convince Mbappe to stay put.
Nevertheless, the rumor mills keep running, and the highly talented forward remains linked with a possible departure from Parc des Princes this summer.
A former French football icon, who spent time at several top European clubs during his playing career, now weighs in on the speculations surrounding his compatriot’s future,” Petit told Goal, speaking in association with Paddy Power.
“There are so few clubs in the world that can afford to pay his wages so it’s possible that if he did leave he would come to the Premier League.
“The best fit for him might be Liverpool.”
