The Blancos’ injury crisis only worsened during the international break.

Brahim Diaz was dropped from Real Madrid’s starting lineup against Cadiz after feeling sick during the warm-up.

A major injury crisis has left Real Madrid without a number of key players. Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao have been out of action with ACL injuries since August.

Vinicius Junior and Edouardo Camavinga were added to the list of Real Madrid’s long-term injuries during the international break, with both players being expected to stay sidelined until January. Other injured stars include Arda Guler, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Kepa Arrizabalaga. The latter is expected to make his return as soon as this week.

According to Real Madrid’s official Twitter account, Rodrygo replaced Diaz in the team’s lineup against Cadiz. The Spaniard reportedly vomited and felt dizzy during the pre-match warm-up.

The incredible start of Jude Bellingham at the heart of Real Madrid’s backline has been a major factor in Diaz’s struggle for playing time this season. The midfielder will now have to wait longer to make his third La Liga start of the campaign for the Blancos.

Following their match against Cadiz, Real Madrid will prepare to face Napoli in a Champions League clash on Wednesday.
