The Blancos are eager to win their first trophy of the season by defeating their arch-rivals.

Real Madrid players could receive a significant bonus if they defeat Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.

The two sides have already secured €7million for their participation in the tournament. The winners of the upcoming final will earn another million.

According to talkSPORT, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has agreed to share around half of the tournament’s prize money among the squad. If the Blancos lift the trophy on Sunday, each player could receive around €150,000 in bonuses.

Real Madrid reached the Super Cup final after beating Atletico Madrid 5-3 in a thrilling match earlier this week. Barcelona, on the other hand, defeated Osasuna as they got a step closer to the trophy.

The most recent El Clasico took place in La Liga on October 28. An early goal from Ilkay Gundogan put Barca ahead, but Jude Bellingham’s magic in the second half completed Real Madrid’s comeback.

The England international, who has enjoyed excellent form in his debut season at Santiago Bernabeu, will look to claim his first piece of silverware at Real Madrid on Sunday.

The Blancos will meet their arch-rivals at Riyadh’s Al-Awwal Stadium on Sunday.
