Opportunities at Santiago Bernabeu has been drying up for Isco, and Rivaldo feels a change of scenario for him could be the answer.

Isco was found in the starting XI for Real Madrid in the La Liga outing against Cadiz on Saturday.

The Spaniard, however, failed to impress in the opening 45 minutes and was made to return to the bench as one of the four changes made by Zinedine Zidane at half time.

Only 147 minutes has been spent on the pitch by the midfielder who once one used to be one of the first names in Los Blancos’ line-ups.

A similar situation was experienced by James Rodriguez who, after struggling to make his way into the starting XI, eventually parted ways in the summer.

Currently has Everton, James has been reborn as he is usually found at the center of most good things for his team.

Isco has been advised to take inspiration from his former teammate and start looking for pastures new so as to re-establish himseld as a starter.

“Isco has had great days at the club and was an important member of the squad for a lot of time, but it’s not happening for him at the Bernabeu any longer, so he might look to James Rodriguez’s situation as a good example of how to successfully move on,” Rivaldo wrote in his this week’s Betfair column.

“Isco is watching James and knows he’s very happy with his decision of leaving Real Madrid for a club where he had the chance to be a regular starter and finally get back to his best form.”
