Real Madrid 0-1 Cadiz – La Liga Player Ratings

It’s time to take a look at an unfortunate result for Real Madrid against Cadiz in the Spanish La Liga, we have the Player Ratings.

Real Madrid had a major chance to get an apparently easy victory against Cadiz this evening. Los Blancos believed they were facing one of the weakest sides in the tournament but they never imagined they would struggle so much against a recently promoted club.

From the start of the game, Casemiro’s absence in midfield was a dead giveaway of Cadiz having spaces to maneuver at will. They shocked Los Blancos (who sported a pink kit today) with an Anthony Lozano goal, but this outcome didn’t surprise anybody else.

Sergio Ramos proved he makes many more mistakes when his side is losing. The Real Madrid captain got spared a red card after an unnecessary foul on Lozano. Both the Honduran striker and Alvaro Negredo were a complete nightmare for Zidane’s squad throughout the 90 minutes.

Casemiro wasn’t enough to save Real Madrid.

After the break, Zidane realized he can’t leave Casemiro out of his squad but he noticed too late. The Brazilian midfielder wasn’t enough to help Los Blancos get back in the game, as Cadiz kept getting stronger on the defense.

Near the end of the match, Karim Benzema had a couple of chances that could’ve changed the outcome. However, the French striker struck the bar and he assisted an offside Luka Jovic for a disallowed goal.

Real Madrid underestimated Cadiz tonight. The modest squad made history after winning a game in La Liga against Los Blancos on their own ground. All the Merengue supporters must be fuming after this unexpected defeat.
