Real Madrid have seen themselves with a timely boost following the return of skipper Sergio Ramos to training.

Sergio Ramos is set to return to action for Real Madrid after the defender was spotted in Los Blancos training on Sunday.

The captain is aiming to return in the Champions League against Borussia Monchengladbach in what is a huge game for his side.

Dani Carvajal still remains a doubt for the game but could still be available for the crunch clash.

Ramos wouldn’t want to miss a decisive game and one that will settle Madrid’s European fate. The player already mentioned this fixture has been the priority for him to return in since he fell injured. In fact, reports even claimed the 34-year-old called an emergency meeting after Real Madrid lost to Shakhtar last week.

Zinedine Zidane is keeping a close eye on the situation, as he is with Carvajal as well. The right-back still hasn’t been able to get up to his teammates’ pace and trained separately unlike his captain.

Ramos was spotted in training via the club’s social media account with the defender sprinting to his paces as part of a drill.

Fede Valverde, like Carvajal, worked away from the group and he has no chance of returning to action this week.

Mariano Diaz and Eden Hazard worked inside the club’s facilities.

The return of Ramos for Real Madrid couldn’t have come at a better time with the game against Monchengladbach a ‘must-win’ fixture.
